Ginchiyo Yagyu (柳生ギンチヨ) is a samurai trooper from the Izanagi Force. She does her job extremely well and is considered to be the cream of the crop in the Corps. She enlists the help of Dora Sasaki and Kusanagi to further her career, and seems to wanna catch up to samurai officer, Yujin Yagyu.
Appearance[]
Ginchiyo has dirty blond hair at a medium length. She has bangs across her forehead and a hairband around her head, the back of head has a longer lock of hair tied off on the end with a hairband. She has large black eyes and a mouth often shaped like a wide "V". Ginchiyo wears the uniform of the Izanagi Force, which is a fleece with a asanoha pattern on the torso with a black collar and sleeves. The logo for the Izanagi Force is located on the chest and shoulder of the fleece.
Personality[]
Ginchiyu is, at first glance, a very calmed and confident girl, always wearing a smug smile. She also does not have any trouble of using money to resolve conflicts due to being part of a very rich family.
Despite this she takes her job as a samurai very serious and always finishes any mission they gave her. But mostly because she wants to have promotions and a successful career, nevertheless she does everything in her power to save people from the Mononoke's threat.
However, Ginchiyo actually feels that she's not strong enough and lacks of self-confidence, when she is unable to defeat a Mononoke and not doing her job efficiently she begins to feel powerless but always seek to become stronger so that one day she can catch up a certain fellow corps member.
History[]
Ginchiyo's parents run a bunch of companies, making her richer than most in the world, her family also owns the Yagyudo Brand (a Dorayaki company) her family however does not live with her so she has her own attendants to assist her in her family home, one of these attendants is called Debuchi, her attendants trust Ginchiyo implicitly.
As a child Ginchiyo grew up with her uncle Yujin Yagyu. She heard him say that he'd love to live a quiet life farming, but due to his talent he ended up working as a Samurai and working himself hard taking all the jobs he got. Ginchiyo told him that he should quite being a samurai, but he refused to let people down who need his help. Ginchiyo then decided that since Yujin wouldn't choose to stop, then she'd have to make him stop. As a result, Ginchiyo became a samurai and worked hard to gain promotions with the hope that she'll make it to the top of the Izanagi Force and get to the position where she can fire Yujin herself.[1]

Geppakutou: Ginchiyo's sword is able to amplify her supernatural energy output, allowing her to slay mononoke.
Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: Ginchiyo is a samurai trooper with incredible skill. After training with Yujin, she states how no one else is faster than her, implying that she is on of the fastest samurai.
Techniques[]
- Yagyu Blade of Divine Speed: A prefix Ginchiyo uses before her attacks, likely referring to her techniques relying on her speed.
- Hurricane Flux: Ginchiyo is able to unleash a flurry of sword slashes as immense speeds.
- Whirlwind Drill: Ginchiyo jumps up a comes down with a strong downwards thrust piecing her opponent.
- Eternal Bamboo Flute Song: Ginchiyo continuously dashes in multiple directions at incredible speeds, slashing her opponents with each dash.[2]
Trivia[]
- Ginchiyo could be a reference to Tachibana Ginchiyo, a woman who was named lord of their clan due to her father having no sons to become his heir, she was also a strong warrior like her father.
