Samurai and Mononoke (侍とモノノケ, Samurai to Mononoke) is the first chapter of Gen Oosuka's Doron Dororon.
Summary[]
The chapter begins with a color page summarizing the history behind Mononoke and you see Dora's mother impaled by a beast like creature, a Mononoke. It then cuts to Dora visiting his mother's grave, he'd graduated high school and now vows to become a Samurai. He then goes to take the Samurai entrance exam, coming to find out he isn't eligible. He doesn't have a single drop of spiritual energy, which is needed to defeat the Mononoke.
